Pros:
Most of the Guests agree, the Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Gatlinburg is a good deal and in a great place. The rooms are sleek and modern with crisp lines and comfortable fixtures. The Hotel itself is close to the main drag in Gatlinburg but far enough away to get away from the crowds when necessary. Kids seem to really enjoy the Indoor Water Park with Water Slides and even a large Dumping Water Bucket. The continental breakfast is nice to start the day. Guests, for the most part, were happy with the Hotel Staff.
Cons:
Some of the guests were frustrated that the Hotel Staff did not have answers to their questions. Interestingly enough, there are some guests who feel that this Hotel does not fit in to the Gatlinburg area because it is too modern.

Indoor Water Park and Pool
It can get pretty chilly in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It’s a good thing that the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Gatlinburg has an Indoor Kids Water Park and even an Indoor Heated pool for the adults. Come join in the fun with a couple of indoor water slides and even a large, dumping bucket that the kids will thoroughly love for their stay. The Kids Splash Park is open year round with zero-entry access around the entire park. The water is shallow so you don’t have to worry about your little ones as much.
Fun Things to Do
Other than the Pools and small Water Park, there is not a lot to do at the Hotel. Since it is a short distance from the main Parkway running through the center of Gatlinburg, you are located in a perfect place to get away when you need it or enjoy the shopping and restaurants up and down the strip.
