All of the Accommodations at Wilderness at the Smokies River Lodge are considered Suites because they are designed to provide a comfortable place to stay for large groups and families. Many Guests prefer the River Lodge Suites in the Wilderness at the Smokies during the colder months because it is conveniently connected to the Wild Waterdome Indoor Waterpark. How nice is it to walk to the Water fun without ever having to step outside?

What are the Suites like?

Depending on what you want or need on your trip, there are many different options to choose from. The smaller rooms, like the Studio and Bunk Suites, can take care of a family of 5 or 6 guests, respectively, but if you are looking for a place to fix your own meals, the space becomes very limited. Each of these rooms come with a small refrigerator, microwave and cook top but you won’t find a full kitchen to prepare meals. This is also true with a few of the larger suites so before you book, take a look at the full Suite Floor plan for each of these accommodations as well as the amenities they provide at the Quick Facts about the Wilderness at the Smokies Lodge. If all you are looking for is a place to rest your head and you do not need any larger accommodations, these rooms can save you some money.

Full Size Kitchens

Many of the the Larger Suites from the Queen Murphy Deluxe to the 2 Bedroom Premier Suite, have a Fully Equipped Kitchen area complete with Full Sized Appliances, Dining Table with seating for 4 to 6 guests, Pots, Pans, Dishware and everything you could need to prepare your own meals.

Suites with a Fireplace

Not all of the Suites have a fireplace but the ones that do provide a very comfortable and romantic feel to them. If you are visiting the River Lodge Wilderness at the Smokies during the Winter, it could very well be worth getting one of these rooms, even if it costs a little more.

Additional Tips

Things to Consider when staying at the River Lodge:

It might cost a little more to stay here but not having to take the Shuttle back and forth to the Indoor Water Park could make it worth it.
Older Kids will like the fact that they are close to the Wild Waterdome and if it is warm outside, the Lake Wilderness Outdoor Waterpark.
Having a full kitchen can definitely save you some money but you also have to weigh in the additional cost of staying in one of the larger rooms.

Full information can be found about the Suites at the Quick Facts page.
