Many different places to stay
This is not just a hotel, the Brookside Resort in Gatlinburg has expanded over the years and is built in to three main buildings. The Clingman Tower is a 4 Story building with many different types of rooms like Honeymoon Suites, King and Queen Bedrooms with Kitchens. These rooms give you additional space and extra in-room amenities.
The Le Conte Towers offer Queen and King Rooms with Kitchenette, Fireplace and even a Honeymoon Suite with a Two person Jacuzzi Rub in the same room. The Le Conte Towers stand out, especially if you are staying on the 3rd floor, due to the beautiful Cathedral Ceilings.

Pros:
Many guests love the appeal of the Brookside Resort in Gatlinburg because it is far enough away from the main attractions but still close enough to get around. In fact, a recurring comment about the resort is the Pigeon Forge Trolley system and how it picks up and drops off at the front door of the Resort.
Cons:
You do need to look at the numbers though. Having positive marks just under the 60% mark can be a little dicey. Many guests found the rooms a little too outdated to enjoy their stay.

If you are an animal lover, you will need to look at booking a room at the Creekside Ranch House. From the outside, this building looks like an old style motel but it has 2 levls. These rooms might be a little more out of date but they are clean and this is the only section of the Brookside Resort that you are allowed to have pets.
Seasonal Outdoor Pools
Unfortunately, there is not an Indoor Swimming Pool at the Brookside Resort in Gatlinburg. There are however, 2 Outdoor Pools that are open during the warmer seasons of the year. There is also a large 8 foot continuous flowing Waterfall and a small kids pool. Kids seem to enjoy the 2 small Water Slides that drop into the main pool but these might be a little small for adults to enjoy.
Updates
The Brookside Resort is currently going under some renovations due to the out of date comments. They say they are updating everything that they can at this time and will continue to update to make guests comfortable and happy.
