Riverchase Motel Reviews
Pros:
When looking at the reviews, you will probably get very confused because some of the Guests say it is the best place to stay in when you are visiting Pigeon Forge while others did not have the same experience. On the good side, many guests enjoyed the rooms and thought that the staff was very friendly. The best part about the stays would probably be the Indoor Pool (and Outdoor Pool in the Warmer months) with the large Water Slide. Of course, it is hard to go wrong when the weather is bad and you have a place for your kids to enjoy in a nice warm setting, so this is located at the top of the approval list for sure.
Cons:
Other guests had a terrible experience. They felt that the rooms were not clean and that the help was not looking out for there best interest. Still, the pools stand out for almost all of the guests.

The Riverchase Motel in Pigeon Forge Tn is located directly on the Parkway in the direct route you will take if heading to Dollywood. From the road, this Motel has a very nice Outside appearance but Be Aware of the very mixed Reviews on this Motel as they are almost split in the middle between the good and the bad. The Riverchase Motel does have many different Guest Room and Suite configurations and can also accommodate large groups of people.
Near the Pigeon River
The name “Riverchase Motel” would make you think that this Hotel is located directly on the Little Pigeon River. It is very close, and from some of the rooms near the back you might hear the river but there is a large space of land and also the South River Road that separates this Motel from the River.
Call the Motel to Book
Whenever there are such mixed reviews, it is always a good idea to call the Motel/Hotel and ask them for the best room they have for the money you are willing to spend. This way, you have talked with someone who knows the property and also knows your expectations.
Rooms and Suites
Understand that this is a Motel and that the rooms are accessible from an outer door. There are not any interior hallway entrances at the Riverchase Motel. A room for any size party you could ever bring to the Pigeon Forge area. The smaller Standard Guest Rooms are about the size you would find at any Motel. If you are looking to spend a Romantic evening you might be interested in one of the Jaccuzi Suites. You also have the option of a 2 Bedroom Suite and even a 2 Level Suite that can hold up to 14 guests.
Extra Costs for Over 2 Guests
All of the rooms are booked at the cost of 2 guests initially. Some guests shared frustration when they found that there were additional fees for extra Guests staying at the motel. There is an additional charge per each guest over 2 staying at the property so make sure you know what your charges will be, before you book.
Indoor and Outdoor Swimming Pool with Water Slides
You don’t find many Motels with an Indoor Pool, much less having a Water Slide but this is one of the big draws for staying at the Pigeon Forge Riverchase Motel. The Indoor Slide and Pool area are very nice. The Water Slide is 100 feet in length and is fun for all ages. Expect the kids to drag you along to enjoy all of the fun. If it is warm outside, you also have the option of swimming in the outside pool, soaking in the sun and sliding down the Outdoor 45 foot water slide. There is also a large Whirlpool beside the Indoor Pool.
Pet Friendly?
No! Unfortunately, the Riverchase Motel does not accept Pets of any type, shape or size.
Dollywood and other fun things to do
Dollywood is a great Amusement Park in the Pigeon Forge Area and the Riverchase Motel is about 4 miles away from it. Since the Motel is located directly on the main Parkway you are also right on top of many places to eat and are just 2 blocks from the famous Dixie Stampede. You are truly right in the heart of the action when staying at the River Chase.
Dining
There is not a Restaurant or really any type of Dining at the Riverchase Motel. Anything you want to eat, you will need to walk to the closest restaurant or drive around. You have many options within walking distance.
