Pros:
The Staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We loved staying in a room overlooking the Little Pigeon River. We walked to the parking area for The Island and the shuttle picked us up and took us the rest of the way. The Island was close and we loved the shopping and restaurants. The Free Breakfast was nice and they had plenty of items on it.
Cons:
Some of the guests felt that the rooms were a little on the small side. Next time I will get a room away from the noise of the Parkway.

If you are looking for a comfortable location in the heart of Pigeon Forge and close to The Island, you might consider the Black Fox Lodge in Pigeon Forge. The Black Fox Lodge is right on the parkway and overlooks the Little Pigeon River. Great views of the Smoky Mountains and the familiar sounds of the flowing river make this Hotel a nice place to stay when you visit. Add in an Outdoor Pool complete with Water Slide and kids raining fountain and this Hotel meets the needs of most guests.
Black Fox Lodge Accommodations
It’s true that the Black Fox Lodge in Pigeon Forge is located on the Parkway and it takes you up to 6 stories in height. Staying on one of the upper floors gives you the better views but a room looking towards the Little Pigeon River is a real treat in itself. The rooms at the Black Fox Lodge come in a variety of sizes and layouts. The more standard accommodations are the Double Queen rooms. These rooms have a familiar hotel room feel with the Queen Beds and living space in a single room. Additional space to spread out can be found by taking a step up to a Two Room Deluxe Corner Suite with a private bedroom, with 2 queen beds and a living room. The Junior Suites have the sleep the most guests with bedding for 8 people. Each of these rooms have a balcony, some with varying views. Outdoor Pool with Water Slide
The Outdoor Pool at the Pigeon Forge Black Fox Lodge has a more free flowing shape. One section of the pool is designed to be a more shallow splash area with a waterfall umbrella and the other end is a little deeper, at 4 feet, to accommodate the drop from the small water slide. The pool is not huge but large enough for your kids to enjoy. There are also lounge chairs around the pool for you to pull up a chair and enjoy the outdoor sun while the children are splashing about.
Best Room Location
Some of the rooms have views of the Little Pigeon River while others overlook the pool or parking lot. Be sure to ask for the location with the views you are interested in.
Fun Things to Do
While the pool and water slide are the biggest draw at the Black Fox Lodge, you are located in the middle of everything Pigeon Forge has to offer. Close enough to walk, at about 1/2 mile away, the The Island in Pigeon Forge has some great shopping and also some amazing Restaurants to enjoy like Paula Deen’s and Margaritaville.
