Tips for you: If you have mobility issues be sure to ask for special accommodations due to the steep hillside the villas are on. The top view of the 4000-5000 building is super nice if you are on the top floor. This is a huge property so if you are wanting to be near the pool ask for accommodations near the pool. For less crowd and noise ask for top of the mountain accommodations. If you are staying on the 300 block it backs up to the road so request a top floor. The studio rooms are great for 1 to 2 people. Upon booking as for a “newer” rooms (the 5000’s are brand new and highest on the mountain). The rooms behind the main/administrative building has lots of noise from the golf carts and vans in the morning. For seclusion stay high, for families with young children stay low to be near kid friendly amenities. The shuttle service will get you around the resort no matter where you stay. The walls tend to be thin. The 200’s are near a beautiful creek.
Be aware: The water park at the Smoky Mountain Resort Westgate costs extra for Guests and the Public unless you bundle the Room with Free Tickets. Check out time is earlier than usual (10am)! You will be approached while staying here to tour the property because they want you interest you in buying timeshare property here. In fact, if you book directly through the property you may find that you are enticed with a 10% discount for signing up for a timeshare. There are also reports of the sales people enticing you to take a look at the property while you are trying to enjoy your vacation. Regardless, if you do accept to view the property it turns into at least a half day wasted on a high pressure sales pitch to “buy”. If you don’t get suckered in for the pitch the report is that you will indirectly be affected because of the entire shuttle service system running slow (up to a 30 minute wait at times) due to all the timeshare “victims” being shuttled around.
