It can get a little confusing when you look at the pictures of the Wyndham Great Smokies Lodge Water Park, especially if you have ever stayed at the Wilderness at the Smokies because they share some of the same amenities. That is right, when you stay at the Great Smokies Lodge by Wyndham you have access to the Wild Waterdome Indoor Waterpark as well as the Lake Wilderness Outdoor Waterpark.
The Indoor Wild Waterdome
You might be wondering if it gets crowded because there are 2 properties that share the same Water parks. This is not normally an issue because they only allow Resort guests to have access to the parks. Since the public is not allowed, that really cuts down on the crowds. On top of that, when you realize that the facilities that house this massive indoor water park are larger than an NFL football field, you can start to understand how it can accommodate so many. The indoor park is really unbelievable when you start to think of the attractions that are inside with Large Water Slides, a Wave Pool and a nice size Kiddie Splash zone make it a great hangout during your stay.
The Outdoor Lake Wilderness
When the weather is nice and the Outdoor Water Park is added in the equation, you definitely will have plenty of space. The family will never want to leave when seeing all of the fun there is to be had at this park. Having a very large Lazy River that goes around the entire area, a large 4 lane racing slide and also a near vertical looping slide is sure to get anyone’s heart racing. Add to the the large Kids Water splash area and another large Wave Pool and between the 2 location you have just about anything you could ever want to find in a Water Park.
